Investment in Your Growth

Starting therapy is more than just scheduling a session—it’s an act of self-respect. At CFSR, we see therapy as an investment: in your healing, your relationships, your self-worth, and the life you want to build.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, or past trauma, therapy offers a safe space to explore, understand, and grow. Like any meaningful investment, it requires time, intention, and resources—but the returns can be life-changing.

What You’re Investing In

Therapy is not a quick fix—but over time, it can create powerful and lasting change. Through our work together, you can:

  • Develop greater emotional resilience and self-awareness
  • Understand and shift long-standing patterns that no longer serve you
  • Heal from relational wounds and learn to set healthy boundaries
  • Strengthen your communication and deepen your connections
  • Build a stronger, more compassionate relationship with yourself
  • Cultivate clarity, purpose, and confidence in your choices

These changes often ripple outward, improving not only how you feel—but how you live, love, work, and relate.

Financial Investment

We understand that choosing to begin therapy is both a personal and financial commitment. Our rates reflect the training, experience, and presence we bring to each session—and our belief in the deep value of this work.

Rates vary depending on the clinician’s level of experience and licensure:

  • Owner / Senior Therapist (Tehrina Terry, LPC): $200 per 50-minute session
  • Independently Licensed Therapists (LPCs): $150 per 50-minute session
  • Provisionally Licensed Therapists (LACs, under supervision): $125 per 50-minute session

Extended or intensives: available upon request when clinically appropriate

Insurance & Reimbursement

We are in-network with the following insurance plans:

  • Aetna
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)accepted by our clinicians, not by Tehrina Terry
  • United Healthcare Student Resources – for college students covered under this plan

We also accept all HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Savings Account) plans.

If you are unsure of your insurance coverage, we would be happy to check your benefits for you prior to your first appointment. During your initial phone consultation we can discuss what information is needed in order to do this. We will then inform you of what your projected payment will be for your sessions based on your benefits prior to your first appointment. *Please note that co-pays/deductibles at times can be incorrectly quoted by the insurance company and will not be verified until EOBs (Explanations of Benefits) are received. This can take up to several weeks following session attendance. Any outstanding balance will be owed at this time and any credit can be refunded.

For other plans, we are considered out-of-network providers. If your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, we are happy to provide a monthly superbill for reimbursement. Please note, this does not guarantee that your insurance provider will reimburse you for services.

Why Some Clients Choose to Pay Privately

Many of our clients choose to pay out of pocket for therapy—even when they have insurance. Here’s why:

  • Privacy & Confidentiality
Paying privately means your therapy is not documented in your insurance records, which many clients appreciate for privacy or career-related reasons.
  • Freedom to Choose the Right Therapist
Private pay gives you access to the therapist who feels like the best fit for you—not just someone in-network.
  • No Diagnosis Required
Insurance typically requires a mental health diagnosis for coverage. Paying out of pocket allows you to pursue support without receiving a formal diagnosis if that’s your preference.
  • Fewer Administrative Barriers
No need for pre-authorization, paperwork delays, or session caps.
  • Specialized Expertise
Some therapists choose not to accept insurance due to low reimbursement rates or administrative burden. These clinicians often bring extensive training or specialization that clients value and are willing to invest in.

Ultimately, this is a personal decision—and we’re here to support you in whatever direction you choose.

Sliding Scale Options

We believe therapy should be accessible. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available on a case-by-case basis. Please don’t hesitate to ask—there is no shame in the conversation.

Payment Details

  • Payment is due at the time of service
  • We accept credit cards, HSA, and FSA cards

24-Hour Cancellation Policy

Once an appointment is scheduled, you will be expected to pay for it in full unless you cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice. Please contact your therapist directly to reschedule or cancel.
